 我家是个大家庭。 My family is a big one,

当man和woman作定语修饰后面的名词，要随着后面名词的复数而变复数。  

 三名女教师 three women teachers

两名男医生   two men doctors

police 警察（总称），单复数同形。前面一般要用定冠词the，作主语时，谓语动词用复数形式。

警察正在寻找那个丢失的男孩。The police are looking for the lost boy,

job是可数名词, 意为“工作”；

 我的父亲在一家工厂里有一份工作。   My father has a job in a factory,

work作名词，意为“工作”，是不可数名词；作动词， 意为“工作”，是不及物动词。

 他在城里找不到工作。 He can't find work in the city,

 他在城里找不到工作。   He can't find job in the city,

我每天要做许多工作。  I have a lot of work to do every day,

 杰克每天工作。  Jack works every day,

相同的 same

same 作形容词, 意为“相同的”，在句中作定语，常与定冠词the连用。

 这些鞋是相同的。  The shoes are the same size,

same作代词意为“相同的（人/物）”。

和   一样the same as,

 在这件事上，我的想法和你的一样。I think the same as you do about it,

  我和她的生日是同一天。My birthday and hers are the same,

 在  （某物体范围外）的前面。in front of,

  学校在我家的前面。 The school is in front of my home,

在   （某物体范围内）的前面。in the front of,

  黑板在教室的前面。The blackboard is in the front of my classroom,

去医院看病 go to hospital

 去医院(不一定是病人)go to the hospital,

 生病住院be in hospital

在医院里(不一定是病人)be in the hospital

这是你的妈妈么？   Is this your mum?

是的，她是。Yes, she is,

不，她不是。No, she isn't,

这是你的父母么？   Are these your parents?

  是的，他们是。Yes, they are,

不，他们不是。No they aren't,

穿红色衣服的女生是谁？    Who's the girl in red?

 她是我朋友。She is my friend,

左边的男生是谁？    Who is the boy on the left?

  他是我哥哥。He is my brother,

 我妈妈在左边。  My mum is on the left,

 我妈妈在右边。  My mum is on the right,

 她的丈夫在她旁边。Her husband sits next to her,

 我在李磊的前面。I'm in front of Li Lei,

你父亲是干什么的? What's your father?  

 What's your father's job?

 我的父亲是一名医生。 My father is a doctor,

你是干什么的? What do you do?

你姐姐是干什么的？ What's your sister?

 我的父亲是一名经理。 My father is a manager,

 她的妈妈是一名护士。Her mother is a nurse,

 我是一名老师。 I'm a teacher,

  这是我的自行车。    This is my bike,

  这些自行车是我的。These bikes are mine,

  那是他的书。That is his book,

  那些书是他的。  Those books are his,

 这些是汤姆的书。These are Tom's books,

 我喜欢这个桌子的颜色。I like the colour of the desk,

 这是托马斯的房间。  This is Thomas' room,

  这些是学生们的书。   These are the students' books,

  今天是儿童节。   Today is Children's Day,

   这是吉姆和汤姆共有的书。This is Jim and Tom's book,

 这些分别是吉姆和汤姆的书。    These are Jim's and Tom's desks,

   他是我爸爸的一个朋友。      He is a friend of my father's,

   她是我的一个朋友。    She is a friend of mine,

   他经常去他叔叔家。He often goes to his uncle's,

who在句中一般做主语，有时在口语中，用作动词的宾语。

whom在句中作宾语，口语中可与who替换，但在介词后面作宾语时，只能用whom。

谁是你的老师？ Who is your teacher?

你最喜欢谁？Who do you like best?

你最喜欢谁？Whom do you like best?

你找谁？   Whom are you looking for?

what修饰名词或代词，在句中作定语。

What + a,   an,   + 形容词 + 单数名词+主语+谓语。  

 它是一个多么高的楼啊！ What a tall building it is！

What + 形容词 + 复数名词 + 主语 + 谓语。   

What + 形容词 + 不可数名词 + 主语 + 谓语。   

  它们是多么有趣的故事啊！What interesting stories they are!

  多么好的天气啊！What nice weather it is！

how修饰形容词和副词，在句中作状语。

How + 形容词或者副词 + 主语 + 谓语。

  这本书是多么有趣啊！  How interesting the book is!

  他们正在多么努力地学习啊！ How hard they are studying!

 在  后面behind,

 在  旁边beside,

   在  左边 on the left of,

 在旁边，紧挨着next to,

 在左边on the left,

 在右边 on the right,
