直接引语变为间接引语，陈述句变为以 that 引导的宾语从句

他说：“我很高兴。”He said  " I'm very glad ,"

他说他很高兴。He said that he was very glad,

直接引语变为间接引语，一般疑问句变为以 whether 或者 if 引导的宾语从句

他说：“约翰，你今天下午能来吗？”He said ,“ Can you come this afternoon, John? ”

他问约翰下午是否能来 He asked whether John could come that afternoon,

直接引语变为间接引语，特殊疑问句变为由 who或者  what或者  when 或者where 等疑问词引导的宾语从句

他说：“王先生在哪儿？”He said ，“ Where is Mr Wang ”

他问王先生在哪儿He asked where Mr Wang was,

间接引语中的谓语动词与主句中的谓语动词在时态上要保持一致。直接引语改为间接引语时，如果主句的谓语动词为过去时态，宾语从句中的动词时态则要随主句的谓语动词时态作相应的改变。

“我是一个学生 ”他说。“ I am a student ” He said ,

 他说他是个学生。  He said he was a student ,

 “我会背这首诗”他说。 “ I have learnt the poem by heart ” he said ,

 他说他已经会背这首诗。  He said he had learnt the poem by heart,

 “李平找到他丢失的书 ”他说。“ Li Ping found his lost book ，” he said ,

  他说李平找到了他丢失的书。He said Li Ping had found his lost book,

直接引语中的谓语动词为一般过去时时，如果与一个具体的表示过去时间的状语连用，变为间接引语时，时态可以不变。

 我的父亲对我说 “我读这本书是在一九八六年。”  My father said to me ,“ I read the book in nineteen eighty-six,”

 我的父亲告诉我 他在一九八六年读这本书。My father told me that he read the book in nineteen eighty-six,

当直接引语表达的是客观真理时，变为间接引语时，时态可以不变。

 地理老师对我们说:“地球围绕太阳转。"The geography teacher said to us,“ The earth turns around the sun ,"

 地理老师告诉我们地球围绕太阳转。The geography teacher told us that the earth turns around the sun,

直接引语为疑问句时，变为间接引语除注意在人称、时态和状语等方面作相应变化外，还应注意：间接引语应改用陈述语序。特殊疑问句的疑问词应保留。一般疑问句、选择疑问句或反意疑问句在变为间接引语时要用连词 whether 或者 if

当直接引语为祈使句时，变间接引语时主句的谓语动词应根据直接引语的口气换用 ask 或者 invite 或者 advise 或者 warn 或者 tell 或者 order  要求， 邀请、建议、警告， 告诉， 命令 等词，而原直接引语中的谓语动词则变为不定式。

 约翰说："我要和父亲到伦敦去。"John said  " I'm going to London with my father ,"

约翰说，他要和他父亲去伦敦。John said that he was going to London with his father ,

直接引语是陈述句时，间接引语为 that 引导的宾语从句（口语中 that 可以省略），主句的引述动词主要有 say 或者 tell 或者 repeat或者  explain 或者 think ，说， 告诉 ，重申 ，解释 ，认为 等。

他说 “你比我年轻。”He said  " You are younger than I ,"

他说我比他年轻。He said I was younger than him,

He said that I was younger than him,

直接引语是疑问句时，间接引语为陈述语序：主句的谓语动词 say 改为 ask  或改为 wonder 或者 do not know  或者 want to know 或者 be not sure 或者 be puzzled ，想知道 ，不知道 ，想知道 ，不确定 ，困惑 等。

直接引语变为间接引语，一般疑问句或反意疑问句变为 if 或者whether引导的宾语从句。

 她说 “你经常来这里读报纸吗？”She said  " do you often come here to read newspapers？ "

她问我是否经常去那儿读报纸。She asked me if I often went there to read newspapers,

She asked me whether I often went there to read newspapers ,

她问我:“你已经看过这部电影 不是吗？”She asked me  " You have seen the film, haven't you？ "

她问我是否看过这部电影。She asked me whether I had seen the film,

She asked me if I had seen the film ,

直接引语变为间接引语，选择疑问句变为 whether,or, 宾语从句。

我问他:“你呆在家里还是去看今晚的电影” I asked him  " Will you stay at home or go to a film tonight？ "

我问他他是否会呆在家里或去看电影。I asked him whether he would stay at home or go to a film that night ,

直接引语变为间接引语，特殊疑问句变为由原来的疑问词引导的宾语从句。

他问 “你住在哪里”He asked  " Where do you live？ "

他问我住在哪里。He asked me where I lived ,

直接引语是祈使句时间接引语为不定式， ask 或者 tell 或者 beg 或者 order或者  warn 或者 advise ，问 ，告诉， 求，命令 ，警告说， 建议 等动词的宾语补足语（ don't 变为 not ）

老师对那个男孩说 “打开窗户。”The teacher said to the boy  " Open the window ,"

老师告诉男孩把窗户打开。The teacher told the boy to open the window ,

他的父亲对他说 “不要让门开着。”His father said to him  " Don't leave the door open ,"

他父亲告诉他不要让门开着。 His father told him not to leave the door open ,
